This drawing is from the first place we stopped during our first trip to Iceland. We landed early morning and I was jetlagged and completely sleep deprived. We couldn’t head to our airbnb, so we instantly started driving. There was no list of destinations and I quickly made a decision to find Hraunfossar waterfall. Needless to say we were lost and never found this waterfall we sought out. Instead we drove aimlessly asking people where Hraunfossar was, to which they pointed us to this direction where we drove through lava rock down past the golf course, then walked through bushes to find this beautiful thing. We now believe the best places are the ones that aren’t on the map.
